The Effects of High and Moderate Intensity Exercise on Plasma Glutamine Concentrations in High School Students |
|
Abstract |
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of high - vs moderate - intensity exercise on plasma glutamine concentrations in 6 male high school students. The study showed three main differences (1) plasma glutamine concentrations were increased in gradual maximal exercise and 80% VVO_2max exercise to compare with resting levels. (2) this amino acids concentrations were decreased in 60% VO_2max exercise. (3) plasma glutamine concentrations were returned to the rest levels in recovery 30 min after 60% or 80% VO_2max exercise. These results suggested that plasma glutamine concentrations after high - vs moderate - intensity exercise were different changes. |
